So excited to be apart of such an amazing day. From glamming Kathy in BR for her Vietnamese ceremony to coming back to NOLA and glamming her again for her Henna ceremony. It was for sure a beautiful event with two beautiful people.
Most of the products I use, I love and are hard to replace. But summer calls for some new formulas! Here are my August favorites:
Tarte | Tarteguard 30 SPF Sunscreen
Walking around Sephora, I noticed a Sephora Favorites Sun Safety Kit. Immediately I had to have it. What would I do with all of the sunscreens, I have no idea, but I knew I had to have it ALL! I tried the Tarteguard and was impressed with how lightweight the formula was. It does have a certain fragrance to it, but it is not strong. And I haven't broken out since using it. So we are good with the non-pore clogging.
Tony Moly | Panda's Dream Brightening Eye Base
I picked this up at Ulta, of course, because of the packaging. But after a couple of uses I became obsessed. The formula is tinted transparent white, so it brightens up the under eye area, creating a more-awake look. The texture is luxurious, after applying it to your skin, take your index finger to lightly press it in and blend it into the skin, when do you this you will experience the soft and butteriness. It is also a great smoothing primer for concealer. Can't wait to try the Cool Eye Stick next.
ColourPop Cosmetics | Super Shock Shadows
I was introduced to these shadows from a New Orleans makeup artist @MelissaVaccaro. After trying it out I could not believe they were not apart of my kit. These shadows give an extra Va Va Voom to your look when used. It adds an extra tasteful shimmer to the lids. Best color payoff when used with your index finger to apply. Best part... they are only $5 a pop!
@beautyandtheskin 80% of skin damage and wrinkles come from the sun's UV rays. And one in five Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime. Friends don't let friends leave the house without sunscreen. So lather up that broad spectrum SPF 30+ and try to stay in the shade from 10am - 2pm. It doesn't last forever so don't forget to reapply every 2-3 hours. Lazy? Try the Coola Setting Spray! 😉
